Our studio is located in Evans City, PA. We serve clients throughout the greater Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania areas, including Cranberry Township, Mars, and Fox Chapel, PA

When will we receive our photos?

You can expect to receive your edited images within 2-3 weeks after the session. We'll notify you when your gallery is ready for viewing.

The Chair That Turned an Empty Room into Santa's Office

This weekend, we finally began putting up the walls for Santa’s Office—one of two rooms the children will explore during our Magical Santa Sessions.

After months of planning, measuring, searching for furniture, and trying to picture everything in my mind, the empty room is slowly beginning to change.

The first wall went up, and work continued on the beautiful old desk we found earlier this summer. The desk still needs quite a bit of sanding, and right now it is covered in dust instead of Christmas magic. But I can already imagine Santa sitting behind it with the Nice List spread open in front of him.

Although the wall and the desk were important, the biggest decision we made this weekend was about something else entirely.

It was about Santa's chair.

We kept looking at both rooms as we tried to imagine how each part of the children's visit would unfold. We knew which activities would take place in Santa's Office and what we had planned for Elf Academy, but we still needed to find the right place for Santa's chair.

This is where he will sit with the children, read them a story, and let them discover what he carries inside his special Christmas bag.

Then Julie Jingles said, "What if we move the chair here?"

As soon as she moved the chair, everything changed.

Suddenly, it no longer looked like a beautiful desk sitting alone in an empty room. It began to feel like Santa's Office — a place where he might truly spend his time.

I could picture Santa working at his desk, checking the Nice List, and preparing for his Christmas Eve journey. Then he could move over to his chair, read with the children, and invite them to look inside his special bag.

Sometimes we can spend hours trying to solve a problem, and then one person moves a chair and the entire room begins to make sense.

Julie Jingles also found us an incredible map for Santa's Office this weekend. It was one of those special pieces that immediately made me stop and think, "That belongs in Santa's world."

There was only one problem.

The map needed just the right frame — something that would make it look as though it had been hanging in Santa's Office forever.

Unfortunately, the perfect frame was already being used. It held one of my favorite portraits of my grandson when he was little.

For a moment, I had to decide just how far I was willing to go for Santa's Office.

Apparently, the answer was pretty far.

We carefully removed my grandson's portrait and the glass, tucked them safely away, and gave the frame to Santa's map. Hopefully, once Christmas is over, everything will go back together exactly as it was.

At least, that is what I keep telling myself.

When this room is finished, the map will hang above Santa’s desk and look as though it has been there forever. And somewhere along the way, I have learned that when we are creating this experience, no piece of furniture—and apparently no family portrait—is completely safe.
