When will we receive our photos?

You can expect to receive your edited images within 2-3 weeks after the session. We'll notify you when your gallery is ready for viewing.

Do you offer prints and albums?

What is your cancellation policy?

There’s a little creek that winds its way along the quiet country road I call home. Every July, it transforms into something magical — a stage for the most popular summer photography session I offer: the Creek Session.

This magical location is located between Butler, Mars and Cranberry Township and this is where childhood dreams come to life.

The Beginning of Your Storybook Session!

From the moment you say “yes” to your session, your story begins. Together, we’ll plan outfits that feel timeless, playful, and just right for little adventures by the water’s edge. Whether your children come dressed and ready to play or you choose to take advantage of my carefully selected children’s wardrobe closet—overflowing with rolled-up overalls, twirly summer dresses, classic jeans (with or without suspenders!), and even a tiny yellow rain jacket—I’ll be your guide to dressing your little one in magic.

TIP: If your child loves the gentle tickle of bare feet on warm stones and soft earth, pair their frayed jean shorts with simple, delicate, solid-colored tops—perfect for capturing moments that feels like a page out of a storybook.

Little Feet, Big Adventures

Then we talk shoes — or perhaps the lack of them! While some little ones love the feel of the creek beneath their toes, many prefer the comfort of tiny solid colored rain boots or simple, solid-colored sandals as they wade through the water. The right footwear helps your child feel free to explore, splash, and play without hesitation — turning every step into a part of their unfolding story.

I keep several pairs of boots in my closet so depending on the size I may have them available or you may choose to supply your own.

TIP: If you are thinking boots, solid colors always work best as they keep the focus on the child and they can add a bit of charm to the final image.

Once we arrive at the creek, the magic begins.

Some little ones start “fishing” with sticks, others gather rocks like treasures or float gently in a metal bucket. A few dive right into their imaginations—becoming pirates, explorers, or river fairies. And almost always, before the sun dips too low, there’s that joyful moment: the big splash, the soaking, the laughter bouncing off the trees. Getting wet isn’t just expected—it’s part of the adventure. And it always leads to the most genuine, joy-filled images.

And yes—I often end up in the creek too! Whatever it takes to capture those magical, storytelling moments from the perfect angle. So don’t worry one bit about mess or mud. That’s all part of the fun.

Golden Hour Dreams & Raincheck Smiles

We usually begin around 7:30 PM to catch the soft, golden light that wraps the creek in a dreamy glow. It’s the kind of light that makes everything feel a little more magical—perfect for capturing those sweet, storytelling moments.

TIP: If your child’s bedtime is close to that, try to keep the day calm and restful—quiet play, an early dinner, or even a short nap if they still take one. A peaceful day helps set the stage for joy-filled adventure.

And please know, I work with little ones all the time—if your child wakes up feeling under the weather or just not quite themselves, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can absolutely reschedule. These sessions are meant to be fun, relaxed, and full of laughter. The most important thing is that your child feels happy, rested, and ready to play.
