Two Sisters and a Brother
Recently, I had the joy of working with three adorable siblings for my series featuring antique children's beds and the magic of children at play. When selecting models for this project, I decided to challenge myself by photographing a trio of siblings—a dynamic that can be both rewarding and unpredictable, especially with a younger child in the mix. While there were a few initial tears, the session quickly turned into something truly special.
Since the bed was child-sized, I envisioned a natural scene—perhaps one sibling sitting on the floor playing with blocks while the other two curled up on the bed, reading a storybook. With this in mind, we began the session, and from that moment on, the magic unfolded.
Each concept we explored brought new warmth and charm, exceeding my expectations. The connection between these siblings, their laughter, and the simple joy of childhood came together beautifully, making this session one I’ll always cherish.
After capturing the warmth of the bed scene, we moved to the floor, where a simple set of building blocks transformed the session into an entirely new story. With just a few blocks, the children’s imaginations took over—stacking, building, and creating a world of their own. It’s the beauty of childhood—where the simplest things spark the greatest adventures.
But these portraits are more than just photographs—they are fine art. Each image tells a story, drawing you in and allowing you to feel the warmth, love, and joy of childhood. It’s this storytelling element that transforms a simple portrait into something truly timeless.
The mother of these sweet children recognized this, selecting these portraits from the session to be part of a beautifully crafted keepsake album.

We moved up stairs for this last picture and it was one of their mother's favorite portraits from this day.
