Sometimes the hat is a little too big, the boots are a bit clunky, and the toddler is just figuring out the world — and that’s exactly where the magic lives.
This sweet two-year-old came for a toddler photography session near Cranberry Township, and it was everything I love about photographing this age. She wore the most adorable sun hat that dipped over her eyes and a denim dress perfect for twirling. But it was the ducks that truly captured her heart. They followed her like she was one of them, and together they created a little storybook scene.
At this age, toddlers aren’t interested in posing — and that’s why I don’t ask them to. For this portrait we gave her a small bucket of food and asked her to walk through the gate and feed the ducks Then, I follow, I watch, I wait. And what unfolds is real: connection, curiosity, and those fleeting moments that make you say, “That’s so her.”
This is the heart of what I offer as a children photographer for Mar, Pa. — Fine Art portraits that reflect the unique magic of your child, created outdoors in a natural, playful setting. These outdoor toddler photo sessions are designed to be relaxed and filled with wonder, whether we’re chasing ducks or dancing in wildflowers.
For parents who want more than just a picture — who want artwork that preserves childhood in its most whimsical, honest form — this is why I do what I do. Because they’re only two for a moment, and every detail matters. Even the hat that was just a little too big.
✨ Let’s tell your child’s story next — serving families in Cranberry Township, Mars, and the Pittsburgh area.
