Photographing toddlers is always an adventure — and when you add two spirited two-year-old twin boys into the mix, you have to be ready for anything!
During a recent session, these adorable brothers kept me on my toes. They had a mind of their own, full of energy and curiosity, which is exactly what you expect (and love) at this age. Their Grammy later admitted she doubted whether we were able to capture anything at all — but just wait until you see the photos! The session turned out to be pure magic, filled with laughter, movement, and unforgettable moments.
When photographing two-year-olds — especially twins — it’s important to have something that immediately catches their interest. Some ideas that work like a charm:
A colorful tricycle or bike.
And the ( When you want one last shot) prop, cookies!
During this session, their Grammy and Aunt played a huge role in keeping the boys together and helping guide them back when they wandered. Having a couple of extra adults who the children know and trust can make all the difference — especially when working with more than one busy toddler. With their help we were able to get these adorable moments.
I always tell parents ahead of time: When working with a two-year-old, they are absolutely in charge.
You follow their lead because when a toddler decides they are finished, the session is over — no exceptions!
And when you're photographing two two-year-old boys, it's double the fun and double the challenge.
But with a little patience, lots of creativity, extra hands, and a flexible attitude, you can capture beautiful, genuine moments that families will treasure forever.
If you’re ready to create some truly special memories with your little ones, I’d love to help! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to book your own session — I can’t wait to work with you and your family! You may call Marsha at 724-504-8711 or follow the link below for more information!
