She knew what she wanted — not just in style, but in feeling. She texted me inspiration photos, pose ideas, and one perfect white dress. Her vision? Natural, peaceful, and soft… and we found the perfect locations to bring it to life: a quiet lake and a nearby creek.
We started at the lake.
The water was so still, the light was soft, and there was just the tiniest breeze. She knew exactly what she wanted and posed with such grace and confidence. It all came together perfectly and set the tone for the whole session.
Then we moved to the creek.
This was the second location on her list of must-haves for her senior pictures — in the creek, no matter how cold it was. 🥶
It was the first day of November, and the water was freezing, but she was determined, and I was all in to make it happen.
Because she wanted both the outdoors as well as classic studio portraits, we decided to split her senior experience into two smaller sessions. This allowed us to give each look the time and attention it deserved.
For the studio session, she wanted to showcase the other side of her style — something bold and timeless. With clean backdrops and dramatic lighting, we captured a completely different mood that perfectly balanced the soft, natural feel of her outdoor portraits.
In the studio, she transformed.
Clean lines, dramatic lighting, and a whole new energy. The contrast between her soft, outdoor look and her polished studio portraits was stunning — a perfect representation of how multifaceted this season of life can be.
The final result? A senior gallery that told her full story.
Natural and serene by the water. Confident and striking in the studio. Every photo captured a different side of who she is — and who she’s becoming.
